Thirtieth Street Mural Consultations

Lake and Shore Thirtieth Street Mural Project
Community Consultations

Wednesday July 25, 6-8pm & Saturday August 11, 1-3pm
LSA Community Project Space – 2422 Lake Shore Blvd W

Join Toronto mural artist Nick Sweetman for a consultation on the design for his upcoming mural on the Thirtieth Street underpass in Long Branch! Nick will be collaborating with muralist and First Nations historian Phil Cote to design a nature themed mural that celebrates the plants and animals whose natural habitat is the Toronto shoreline.

Nick and Phil invite you to provide feedback on the mural design and share stories about your relationship to the shore and its inhabitants. Feedback gathered throughout the consultations will be used to inform and improve the mural design to be better suited to the community it resides in. Painting will begin the first week of September, to be completed by the end of October.

The Thirtieth Street underpass mural project is presented through Street Art Toronto’s Partnership Program, with the support of the Office of Councilor Mark Grimes and Lakeshore Arts.

All ages, all are welcome! Front entrance is accessible via a temporary ramp. Washrooms are located on the lower level. Please contact info@lakeshorearts.ca in advance with any accessibility needs.
