Wellness Workshops focus on a variety of topics related to the wellbeing of artists and arts supporters. Since 2012, workshop topics have included life-mapping, self-shiatsu, financial planning, techniques of reducing stress, and survival guides to careers in the arts.
Past Wellness Workshops consisted of sessions with artist facilitator Harlene Weijs of Wild Sacred:
Life Mapping: Harvest Your Past: Own your story and clarify what’s important to you, your strengths and skills, your interests, and your lessons, by capturing what you’ve learned in your journey of life. Using colour, symbol, and text, participants synthesize their experiences, explore different perspectives, and see the big picture. Maps come alive as visual narratives are shared with the group!
Life Mapping: Plant Your Future Vision: Anchor into the present, gather your resources, and tell the new story by weaving together colour, symbol and text. Guided through a powerful meditation, participants envision their future self, claim their desires, and explore future opportunities through the creation of a visual roadmap.
