Porch View Dances: Real People Dancing in Real Spaces is a community dance event conceived by Karen Kaeja and developed with Allen Kaeja of Kaeja d’Dance, that has seen overwhelming success in the Seaton Village community for over six years. In 2017, Lakeshore Arts in partnership with Kaeja will be bringing Porch View Dances (PVD) to the Long Branch community. In the manner of a guided neighbourhood tour,  PVD Long Branch audience members travel from house to house to see local families performing dances on the porches and front yards of their own homes that were created with professional choreographers.

The tour ends with a Flock Landing, an participatory group dance at Long Branch Park. This event celebrates the lives and stories of families and residents of Long Branch, their stories and the history of the neighbourhood.

PVD Long Branch was made possible with generous support from our Community Vitality Sponsor, Toronto Pearson International Airport and a family of other supporters.
