SUMMARY:Q Summit's Poetry Reading
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to a live-stream spoken-word event by Lakeshore Arts presented by brilliant 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their allies aged 16 to 21. For the past ten weeks\, these youth have explored the art of writing poetry and spoken word pieces\, and have honed the power of using their own unique perspectives in creative work. \nPlease join Lakeshore Arts in celebrating the launch of their Poetry Anthology on Saturday\, 10th April at 7:00 pm virtually on Zoom. The youth will perform selected pieces from their collection and there will be a community segment showcasing more creative young voices. The Anthology will be accessible by download after the event.  \nThe Q Summit’s Mentorship Program was facilitated by artists Emily Dial and Cassandra Myers to support 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and allies in creating a safe space for creativity and self-expression.  \n  \nThis program is generously supported by the Johansen-Larsen Foundation. \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
