Heartfelt Farewell and Thanks to LSA’s Executive Director

Lakeshore Arts (LSA) and its Board of Directors are announcing  that its current Executive Director, Ashley Watson, is moving on to new opportunities. Ashley has worked at LSA in a number of capacities from Development and Partnerships, to Operations, and most recently as Executive Director. Under Ashley’s leadership, LSA weathered an incredibly challenging two-years, and has continued to provide quality community arts programing throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I am so proud of the work LSA has accomplished in the last year and a half,” said Ashley Watson. “It has been an honour to hold this position with an organization I care so deeply about and believe so deeply in its mission. With the hard work done by the board and staff, a more solid foundation has been formed for the organization to move forward from and continue the amazing work it does.”

Lakeshore Arts has struck an Executive Search Committee and is now seeking a new Executive Director to step into this role. Details of the role can be found here. We invite you to help us identify candidates who can continue to lead LSA on its pathway of addressing social justice through the arts. Deadline to apply is Sunday Feb 27, 2022.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Lakeshore Arts, we would like to share our thanks and congratulations to Ashley as she embarks on her new role. Amanda Neale-Robinson & May Yebuga, Board Co-Presidents, can be reached at board@lakeshorearts.ca
