SUMMARY:REGISTERED - Some Bodies\, Some Buddies (@ Arts Etobicoke)
DESCRIPTION:Registration is open from January 30th to February 13th! \n\n\n\n“Some Bodies\, Some Buddies” is a constellation of art-based workshops of holistic well-being that wander through the landscapes of the mental\, emotional\, physical\, and relational bodies. Each session becomes a small journey into identity\, resilience\, embodied care\, and empowerment — an invitation to listen to the stories the body holds. Through creation\, reflection\, and shared imagination\, participants explore the threads and meanings that shape their inner worlds and discover how these processes echo through their everyday lives. \n\n\n\nOpen to adults and seniors. Priority is given to folks with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction issues. No experience is required for this course! All materials are provided. \n\n\n\nRegistration is now full for this program. Please note there is a limit to the number of participants. Only selected participants will be contacted with a confirmation email. \n\n\n\nQuestions? Contact Revital Weiss at CommunityPrograms@LakeshoreArts.ca

SUMMARY:REGISTERED - Spontaneous Stitching (@ Online)
DESCRIPTION:Registration is open from January 30th to February 13th! \n\n\n\nThis workshop series introduces the essential tools and techniques of hand embroidery\, including line drawing\, 3D florals\, and fabric collage. We’ll begin with spontaneous stitching: stitching without a plan to learn our first stitches by exploring mark-making with thread. From there\, we’ll play with colours\, materials\, and textures. Perfect for both beginners and experienced embroiderers\, this series offers a chance to slow down\, learn new skills\, and be part of a community. Workshop participants can apply the techniques learned in this workshop to future embroidery projects\, such as hoop art and fashion upcycling. \n\n\n\nOpen to Ages 14+. Priority is given to folks with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction issues. No experience is required for this course! All materials are provided. \n\n\n\nRegistration is now full for this program. Please note there is a limit to the number of participants.
