SUMMARY:Stitch & Hang: Embroidered Wall Art (@ LAMP)
DESCRIPTION:Join Khadija Aziz for her new course Stitch & Hang: Embroidered Wall Art\, presented by Workman Arts\, Lakeshore Arts\, and LAMP CHC. \n\n\n\nThis beginner-friendly course introduces students to essential hand embroidery tools and techniques\, including line drawing\, 3D flowers\, and fabric collage. We’ll begin with spontaneous stitching (stitching without a plan) to explore mark-making\, colour\, and texture. The series wraps up with a special project: you’ll create your very own quilted wall art piece to be displayed at LAMP!  \n\n\n\nPerfect for beginners and experienced embroiderers alike\, this series is an opportunity to slow down\, learn new skills\, and be among friends.  \n\n\n\nPriority is given to folks with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction issues. No experience is required for this course. All materials are provided. \n\n\n\nRegistration is now closed for ths program. Please note there is a limit to the number of participants. Only selected participants will be contacted with a confirmation email. \n\n\n\nQuestions? Contact Steffi Ng at programscoordinator@lakeshorearts.ca
