At Home Summer Camp

Take part in fun activities from the comfort of your own home. Campers will receive an art box containing all the supplies you’ll need for a memorable week with daily virtual workshops led by our Artists. Lakeshore Arts supports Indigenous artists and their right to revitalize their cultural traditions and customs on their own terms. That’s why this year’s virtual camp will feature themes of Indigenous art and culture, led by two Indigenous artists who will share their stories, traditional knowledge and artistic practices. Additional proceeds from camp will be donated to a not for profit Indigenous organization in Toronto.

As a virtual camp we will use Zoom to interact with campers and facilitate the workshops. Our Artists will lead morning workshop including daily unboxing of materials. Inside each art box materials are packaged and labeled for the specific day to open for each lesson (e.g., “Monday morning”). Afternoons will be used as a self-guided period where campers will take their time in completing their projects and tasks for the day. Each household registered will receive one art box, so we encourage that if there are multiple children in the household please reach out to discuss the possibility of extra materials so that everyone can join in and partake in the fun. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to be present, but not required for supervision.
