About the Exhibition:

Relive the excitement of Caribana and visit this Pop-Up Exhibition, #CaribanaStories, featuring fashion mannequins designed by the ladies of All Things Creative!  This exhibition is inspired by our desire, yearning, and needing a return to the origin stories of Caribana. The purpose for our culture’s bold defining moments is the enduring need to be free.

A celebration of roots, culture and community. A romanticization of the visual storytelling style of masquerade. Let’s illuminate our moments of joyful mess and energy with costumes. Come as you are and embrace connections.

With many thanks to All Things Creative, and the Dr. Rita Cox Collection at the Toronto Public Library – Parkdale Branch.
