About the program
Create your own stunning jewellery!
This 8-week in-person workshop series will take you from the fundamentals of chainmaille to creating your own completed jewellery pieces! During each workshop, artist Laurie Poirier will walk you through a new weave and you will be making your own pieces in no time.
No experience is required for this course. All materials are provided.

Location: In-person at Lakeshore Arts (2422 Lake Shore Boulevard West, Etobicoke, ON)
Who is this course for:
This class is for ages 12+. No experience required. Priority is given to people with lived experience with mental illness and/or addiction.
Registration:
Registration will be open from September 3rd to 24th, at which point accepted registrants will be contacted.
Please note there is a limit to the number of participants. Only selected participants will be contacted with a confirmation email.

About the Artist
Laurie Poirier is a Toronto Artisan who has been crafting in various forms since childhood. As an adult, she began teaching paper crafting and through that found her passion for teaching jewellery to all ages.
Laurie has taught children in schools to seniors in Church groups. Her classes range from Jewellery 101 to more advanced Chainmaille and Wire working.
Laurie has been selling at craft shows since 2010 and teaching since 2012 at TDSB , John Bead Outlet, Gem Expo, City of Toronto, GoBoomerang, Toronto Public Libraries, Scarborough Arts and her own private home studio.
