Climate change is one of the main focuses on the hearts and minds of our youth. This program will give the youth of the Lakeshore region a chance to have their voices heard and their creative ideas realized. This collective will meet once a week, and with the guidance of a climate change expert facilitator and visual arts facilitator, the collective will have the chance to plan and activate green initiatives.

One of the main focuses of this collective will be youth-led initiatives which can be achieved by cultivating the bright ideas and innovative action plans that our youth have to offer. Through planning, creating, and executing these ideas, our youth can bring about powerful and engaging climate change awareness movements and initiatives.

The Youth Climate Collective’s goals:

• Empower and engage youth.
• Foster critical thinking about climate change.
• Create youth lead initiatives to address and combat climate change.
• Gain leadership skills and volunteer hours.
• Learn about careers in green technology.
• Cultivate impactful art to bring awareness and action to climate change issues.
