Francis Tomkins (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice includes animation, collage, zine making, and workshop facilitation. They have a BFA in Cross-Disciplinary Arts: Publications from OCAD University and have worked within the arts and accessibility sectors at Tangled Art + Disability, StopGap Foundation and Toronto Queer Film Festival. Their work has been featured by Toronto Animated Image Society (TAIS), RestFest Film Festival, and Arts Etobicoke. Francis is passionate about how art can be used to create and sustain connected communities.

Explore Paper & Cardboard Arts at Lakeshore Arts!
Starting on May 2nd, artist facilitator Dani Galaviz will be facilitating a FREE weekly Paper & Cardboard Arts drop-in program for all skill levels on Saturday afternoons.
Participants will have the opportunity to complete smaller individual projects to make and take home in the first three workshops (May 2nd, 9th, and 16th). The final four workshops (May 23rd, 30th, and June 6th and 13th) will focus on larger community projects to be featured in our first-ever annual Mimico Arts Jam festival for the whole community!
All supplies for sewing projects will be supplied, no experience necessary!
