REGISTERED – Write by the Water 2026

Back in its eighth year, LSA is proud to offer Write by the Water, a 8-week intensive writing workshop for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) creative youths and adults, ages 18+, to express themselves through storytelling and the written word. 

This year, we once again welcome  writer, language enthusiast and arts-educator, Jedidiah Mugarura as the program facilitator.

Each in-person session, held (at least in part) by Lake Ontario at Amos Waites Park, shall open with body movements as language embodied before visiting the page.

Who is this program for:

BIPOC Creative Writers: authors, playwrights, poets, rappers, singers and writers of any other medium, ages 18+. 

Location:

Lakeshore Arts (2422 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Etobicoke) and by the waterfront at Amos Waites Park.

Program Cost: Free! 

This program will be capped at 15 participants.
