Access Measures

Physical Access

Lakeshore Arts’ Community Project space is located on the first floor of a building with 3 stairs at the entrance, and a non-automatic door. There is a ramp available upon request, please email the Programs Staff if you require ramp access. Our bathrooms are located at basement level, only accessible by a flight of stairs.

COVID & Airborne Illness Safety

LSA is a mask-friendly space, with face masks available at our entrance, should a participant choose to wear one. An air purifier will be running during all indoor programs. We ask that participants who are feeling unwell stay home.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome in our space, please contact us ahead of time if there is any additional support needed for the service animal.

Sensory Needs

For selected programs the lights to our space may be dimmed, and sound levels for background music may be lowered upon request.

LSA Staff

Our staff receive training on serving participants with disabilities; however, we realize there are gaps in our collective knowledge. We encourage you to send us suggestions and feedback, by contacting our ED at annie@lakeshorearts.ca.

Additional Measures

Individual programs may offer additional access measures, such as additional seating options, printed materials to follow along, ASL interpretation, and captioning. Please contact the Programs Staff for the individual program when requesting additional access measures, with advance notice for services such as ASL interpretation.
