Carmen Ocampo Velázquez (She/They) is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist, curator, and psychologist originally from Colombia. Her experience centers on healing, identity, and social change through collaborative engaged art. Drawing on a clinical psychology background spanning over 30 years, she catalyzes creative processes that foster individual and communitarian resilience and empowerment. Carmen holds a Master’s in Environmental Studies and is the founder of Matiz Project, a transdisciplinary collective harnessing the transformative power of art to deconstruct social narratives and reclaim collective voices. Currently, she serves as an Art & Wellbeing Facilitator and Board Member at Lakeshore Arts (LSA).

25th Big Birthday Bash

Lakeshore Arts is turning 25 this year and we want to celebrate with YOU!
We’re hosting our 25th Big Birthday Bash at Big Rock Brewery where we will have food, tunes, games, ways to flex your inner creative and of course beer all while we celebrate the accomplishments of the last 25 years of Lakeshore Arts and all our supporters. We will also be unveiling our new Lakeshore Arts rebrand which means there will be SWAG!
Get your tickets early, space is limited and we’ve got a lot to celebrate!
Ticket includes: 1 beer ticket, $5 drinks, special raffle for Designated Drivers, fun photo booth, good food, brewery tours, and giant games.
Directions: Public Transit – 80 Queensway, Driving – Venue is just north of the QEW with ample parking. Co-op Cabs serve the Etobicoke community.
