Spring Care Cards Fundraiser

This Spring Lakeshore Arts is sending a note of encouragement in form of illustrated cards to community members through contributions raised in their Spring Care Cards Fundraiser. Even though we are physically separated from our loved ones and community, we can still let them know we are thinking of them. What better way than through a card?

Card Selections

Butterfly Park

Mother-like figures are our first and best example. This image shows how the people we look up to are with us with every step of the way, no matter how old we are. This card was inspired by the winding paths through Toronto’s High Park.

Wrapped in Love

If COVID-19 means we can’t yet hug in person, this card illustrates the hug we are all waiting for because everyone is living with their loved ones during the lockdown. This design is a staged imaginary reunion in front of the swirling colours of the Eighth Street SkatePark Mural in Etobicoke, created by mural artist Flips.

Spring Bloomer

A thriving flower, the Bloodroot is one of the first flowers in Southern Ontario to pop up in spring, when the ground is still cold and covered in old fall leaves. The taller flowers curl their leaves around the smaller ones, like a mother hugging her child. It symbolizes strength, growth and protective love.

Card Pricing:

A single card: $9 each
