Kadeem Parchment (he/him) is a filmmaker and photographer, currently working on a few short stop-motion film projects. He studied at George Brown College and started working with Lakeshore Arts in 2014. Kadeem continues to support the work LSA does because he likes the people, the environment, and learning something new.

Lakeshorts Family Screening

Celebrating its 9th year, the Lakeshorts International Short Film Festival is pleased to announce the inaugural TD Bank Family Screening: Big Questions from Little Films at the Assembly Hall on Saturday, May 4th.
Six short films from around the world are being showcased including Columbia, Netherlands and Canada and range from 2 to 12 minutes in length. The films reflect a wide range of topics including the curiosity of youth, the challenges they face, environmental concerns and the importance of family. Adult accompaniment is required and recommended viewing age is 7 and up due to the content of some films. These films are a vehicle for conversation and will spark opportunities for continued dialogue.
Doors will open at 11:30 am and audience members will be able to walk the blue carpet, have their picture taken, enjoy live music and participate in a stop motion animation workshop. Refreshments and food will be served prior to the screening which begins at 12:15 pm. The screening will open with a live drumming performance and is hosted by former TVO Kids; The Space host, Kara Harun.
An opportunity to mingle after the screening, to share insights and feedback is encouraged.
