Live in Toronto? Are you creative and an outside the box thinker; wants to make a difference in your community?
Apply now to join our team of dedicated volunteer directors!
Deadline: Nov 27, 2020
We are seeking curious, open-minded, and thoughtful individuals to join our Board of Directors, who are committed to working with Lakeshore Arts as it steps into its next exciting chapter as an organization.
The board of directors’ role is to oversee policy, finance, governance, and strategic planning while also championing LSA’s Mission, Vision, and Values in accordance with its bylaws and policies. This year we are seeking allies in action as the organization undergoes a period of redevelopment in order to strengthen our connection with the community, commitment to social justice, and the eradication of systemic racism, including anti-Black racism and anti-Indigeneity.
In 2021 we will be developing a new strategic plan for the organization. We are seeking people with courage and curiosity who have financial, HR, and leadership skills as we will be looking to fill the following Executive positions: One Co-chair and a secretary.
We encourage and invite applications from people of all walks of life; backgrounds, sectors and experiences. Previous experience on a not-for-profit board is considered an asset but not required. Preference will be given to South Etobicoke BIPOC community members’ applications.
Lakeshore Arts (LSA) is a not for profit community arts organization dedicated to engaging people by using multidisciplinary art forms as a way of enriching lives and strengthening Toronto’s communities.
