Stitch & Hang: Embroidered Wall Art (@ LAMP)
May 8 @ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Join Khadija Aziz for her new course Stitch & Hang: Embroidered Wall Art, presented by Workman Arts, Lakeshore Arts, and LAMP CHC.
This beginner-friendly course introduces students to essential hand embroidery tools and techniques, including line drawing, 3D flowers, and fabric collage. We’ll begin with spontaneous stitching (stitching without a plan) to explore mark-making, colour, and texture. The series wraps up with a special project: you’ll create your very own quilted wall art piece to be displayed at LAMP!
Perfect for beginners and experienced embroiderers alike, this series is an opportunity to slow down, learn new skills, and be among friends.
Priority is given to folks with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction issues. No experience is required for this course. All materials are provided.
Registration is open from March 27th to April 7th.
